We’re covering the cost of the rental! If you can get there you can stay there for free.

Most meals will be shared, so we anticipate sharing food costs. Meals can be handled a few different ways depending on how many people are staying at any given time. We’ll work it all out together upon arrival.

We have 13 extra bedrooms available at any given time.

Bedrooms will be reserved on a first-come basis. To reserve dates, just get in touch with Shayna! You are welcome to stay with us as long as you like (1-13 nights).

We will assign bedrooms based on group composition. Most bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, and are of roughly comparable quality.

The vibe of the château will be a bit more adult-forward than family-forward (peaceful days by the pool, wine tasting adventures, long dinners). If your kids would thrive in that environment, we’d love to have them join!

We will plan to have a formal, catered party with a vow renewal for Shayna and Jim one evening during the time we are there. We’ll wait to schedule the exact night until we have a critical mass of reservations to maximize attendance.

Don’t worry if you miss the “big” party, every night will be a small party!

Shayna will use this trip as an excuse to wear a new dress every night, and you’re welcome to join her. That said, you should wear anything you like and should prioritize your comfort! Casual evenings are equally encouraged as fancy dress or random costumes.

Jim will likely only wear a speedo.

There is no agenda! The Aardvarks will refrain from making any hard plans and will prioritize peaceful days with spontaneous adventures.

If you prefer it, you are welcome to come with your own agenda or sign up for formal tours.
